Yes!!! I rock all!!!
It's almost over.This lame ass sucky year is almost over.This is where i'd do a happy dance,but I don't dance,so i'll just wave to everyone reading this....all 2 people...

Saturday, December 28, 2002

So I've been thinking about Batman's rouges gallery a lil.Not everyone is as evil as people think.Mr.Freeze for example is just a sad man who want's his wife back.He really hates being the way he is.He just want's his lif back.Poison Ivy...She wants a worl with plants and such. That's not an evil goal. It's a good goal, she just goes about it all wrong. Her intentions are good when you think it through. She doesn't kill all the time.Look at No Mans Land. She cared for a bunch of kids who "respected the green".That proves she has a heart. Those were the only ones that struck out at me at first.I'm sure i'll look into it deeper later...

"Outside the carolers start to sing
I can't describe the joy they bring
Cause joy is something they don't bring me

My girlfriend is by my side
From the roof are hanging cickles of ice
Their whiny voices get irritating
It's Christmas time again

So I stand with a dead smile on my face
Wondering how much of my time they'll waste
Oh god I hate these Satan's helpers

And then I guess I must've snaped
Because I grabbed a baseball bat
And made them all run for shelter

It's Christmas time again
It's time to be nice to the people you can't stand all year
I'm growing tired of all this Christmas cheer
You people scare me
Please stay away from home
If you don't wanna get me down
Just leave the presents and let me be alone.

Well I guess it's not cool to freak on Christmas Eve
Cause the cops came and arrested me
They had an unfair advantage

And even though the jail didn't have a tree
Christmas came a night early
Causes a guy named Bubba unwrapped my package (hot damn)

It's Christmas time again
It's time to be nice to the people you can't stand all year
I'm growing tired of all this Christmas cheer
You people scare me
Please stay away from home
If you don't wanna get me down
Just leave the presents and let me be alone

I won't be home
I won't be home for Christmas
I won't be home
I won't be home for Christmas (please postmark it)
I won't be home
I won't be home for Christmas (please postmark it)
I won't be home
I won't be home for Christmas (please postmark it)
I won't be home
I won't be home for Christmas (please postmark it)
I won't be home
I won't be home for Christmas"

-Blink 182's "I won't be home for christmas

That about sums up how I feel about this sucky holiday. It's not as fun as it used to be,it's gotten to commercialized.Sad really, but thats about how I see it.I see christmas decorations up in the mall's in early September and I want to scream. No one really cares about family and shit. And if they do bother to notice their families it usually winds up being some kind of an arguement or something.Mind you neither me nor my family has every been in a "Christmas fight",but from what I read,Christmas is one of the days that police get domestic disturbance calls. It's also one of the day's when suicide rates skyrocket."Most wonderfull time of the year" indeed. So for me,it's gonna be another lonely christmas.."joy".

So...why does DC hate Peter David and hate me? Now there cancelling Supergirl? Just when it was gettin good and the art was gettin amazin..just when I decide to pick it up....they can it.Impulse,Superboy,Young Justice,Man of Steel,Supergirl. Why the fuck does DC hate me?

Saturday, December 07, 2002

Ok, statement/rant thing...Can someone tell me why it is that,Young Justice,a good selling book with one of the most loyal and devoted fanbases ever - is getting canned, while crap titles like: Azarel,Power Company, and Codename: Knockout are still around?! YJ is one of the most consistently done books in the industry and this is the way people say thank you?!
Besides the fact Young Justice is being cancelled and turned into a new crapy book which pisses me off to no end, there is another thing that has been gettin on my nerves. It's the "wind chill".For those of you who don't know what the wind chill is,It is a weather term for factoring in how the temperture is with the wind.An example is: "It is 34 outside right now,but with the wind chill it feels like 22." If it fucking feels like 22 out...it FUCKING IS 22 OUT!!! stop wasting my time with the damn wind chill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 22...not 34,not 35,if it feels like it is 22,it is 22!! Fuck the wind chill and fuck the wind chill's friend, the heat index, which is basicly the wind chill if its hot out.If the weather person says it's 99 but if you factor in the heat index it feels like 109,it's one hundred and fucking nine out.Your not fooling anyone. So next time you watch the weather and the mention wind chill or heat index, think of what I said.

Another reason Mtv sucks:

I'm channel surfing and I hit the formerly good Mtv2 and I see something called; "Ozzfest uncensored".Sounds cool..excpet for one..maybe two things..If it's called "uncensored" why do the bleep and blur out things?!!?! That's not fucking uncensored!! Sweet fickled brock I hate Mtv.

There is a towel rack inside my shower.....why..? Is'nt the whole idea of a towel to dry people and things?? And by putting it inside of a shower,a thing that generates wetness...um...doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the towel itself?!!? WHY?!!?!?!?

Well.Where do I start? Right now it's 12:03am on September 11th 2002.It's been a year.God damn it's been a year.Almost A year that is.Few hours.I don't know where i'm going to go with this,so bear with me.Some people say "move on","it's old news."I do and I don't want to move on.Why? I'm not entirely sure. That day showcased the best and worst in humanity. It was a day I want to remember..and forget.I could have done more.People say there wasn't much I could have done, but I don't know,I should have at least tried.I'm not Superman,I know that, but I still feel like I could have done more then sit here and play Information Oracle. It still feels surreal and alien looking out over the harbor and not seeing them.In a way I want them back, but I really would like to see them leave it the way it is."Mayor" Bloomberg says we should build and not remember the site as a cemetery. It already is a cemetery,it always will be one.I don't know.I don't know why I haven't healed from this,I really don't.I didn't lose anyone directly related to me.One of my friends father's is a police officer, and hes alive.Same friend's unle is a firefighter in Ladder 6.They were trapped inside after the tower fell.On top of them. They made it out fine..physically that is.So why is this bugging me? I don't want to forget. But I don't want to be consumed with this guilt forever. Why the hell did this happen? It's been asked and "answered" again and again but I still can't process why and how anyone thought this was a good thing?David Letterman said;"people say they were zealots fueled by religous fervor.And..if you live to be a thousand will that make any sense? Will that make ant goddamned sense?"He was right. It makes zero sense, and I don't think it ever will. All I know is over 2000 people are dead and they didn't deserve to die and I would glady take their place. Two buildings are gone.Victims of a madman's insane teachings.
I'm not gonna go into some anti-government "they should have known and ashould have done something" rant,at least it's not my intention, but if I do,oh well.If they knew like certian people say they did, then they should have done something, but I really don't know what to say.Did our government fail us? Maybe. It could have been worse. How exactly do you prevent this?Put everyone and everything in the country under lockdown? No.That's not how we do it in this county.I really don't want to know what they could have done.It happened and it's over with now. What is the government really doing now to make sure this won't happen again. When the U.S.S Cole was attacked, they say we were put at one of our highest alert levels. What happened between then and the 11th?True it was planned in secret, but if Bush had any inklings, and it appears that he did..He should have looked into it further. But i'm not entirely sure that they knew what kind of attack was coming. If they did..It wouldn't have hit the Pentagon. If your the president, you don't let the Pentagon of all things get hit, therefore I don't think Bush had a clear idea of what was coming. He knew something was brewing..but if you don;t have a clear idea, how can you prevent something that you don't know where or when it will happen?
The song goes " I’m only a man in a silly red sheet,Digging for kryptonite on this one way street.Only a man in a funny red sheet,Looking for special things inside of me".The song is called Superman. And on the 11th,we didn't see blue spandex and red capes. We saw black and yellow turncoats with helmets and oxygen packs. We didn't see utility belts with capes and cowls. We saw navy blue shirts with badges and flashlights. There were no Amazon princesses..There were medical scrubs and stretchers. They are indeed the real heroes. Some people seem to be forgetting this. They think "Ok,it's been a year, can I call cop's pig's again?"Why? Why do people want to forget?Come on..Give me an answer. So the police hassle you because you made a wrong turn in your car.Big deal, that's no reason to hate or dislike them.Let's backtrack a little.Let's say the police didn't hassle you.You amke the turn and get into an acident.Becuase the police weren't there.True it's a bit far fetched, but it's stil a possibilty. They chose to do there job's becasue the like helping people.Firefighters, paramedics,do you think all of these people get paid good? Do you think they are in it for the money? There are many, many more job's that pay waaaay better, but they don't want them. Why? Because they want to help people, they enjoy helping people, wether it is a police officer giving you directions or a firefighter getting your cat out of a tree, they want to help.Thet don't care about the money like these money grubbing bastard who complain that they can't play baseball today because they have a split nail.I'm not happy with the way people have seemed to have forgotten so fast. This "recovery" seems to quick. It's taken months and doesn't seem real. These memories are going to be with us forever. That's one thing we can do to help.We can remember. Some peopel don't want to,but guess what, there is a giant hole in lower Manhattan,a hole in a field in Pennslyvannia and a hole in the Pentagon that will remind us.
What's wrong with remembering the real heroes? We should be cheering for the people on flight 93,not some steroid pumped guy in spandex who hit's another spandex clad steroid pumper with a chair. You say you still don't like the uniformed officers? What about the regular people? What about the guy at then Pentagon who washes the floors that helped an army soldier from a burning collapsing hallway? The window washer ath the World Trade Center who used a 1 foot long squeegeie to tear through the sheetrock wall to help people get out of a stuck elevator? The regular guy on the street who snuck into Ground Zero and helped dig with his hands.People were digging with their bare hands looking for any sign of life, moving debris with buckets. When it first happened, people realzied the heroic efforts and offered thier thanks. Why did it stop? Because there was nothing left to dig? Nothing left to rebuild? That's a lousy reason. You can't stop offering your thanks because a phase has ended. If you realzied then what heroes these people were, why can't you remeber now?Remember that these people ran back into burning collapsing bulidngs, some of them knew they wouldn't make out alive,so why did they run back in? They went to help, they wanted to find that one last person..man,woman or child, they wanted to HELP them get to saftey without any care for thier own life. So,when you see a polcie officer or firefighter or paramedic,or everday person,no matter where you live, remember that they could save your life.So stop and think about that fir a minute.
It's been a year, but these effects will last far longer. All I ask is that you not forget about this. Some of you may find my constant rambling about this a bit redundant, but it needs to be said by someone. The recovery has indeed been amazing,I give you that. But it is not complete.Especially here in New York. Many of you who I talk to that are not of New York descent know of my constant rants on how great of a city this is,some of you who live here don't realize how lucky you are.Stop and look up at the broadway marquee.Go grab a slice of Ray's pizza.Look a round in the Bronx zoo.If there is one good thing I can think of that has come of this attack for NYC,it is that the spirit of the city has rebounded, not completely, which is good, but it has rebounded to such a deegree that everytime I walk outside,I can't help but feel how lucky I am to be living here, and I have heard hundreds of people say the same thing.Sometimes you can't just explain how great it is.I saw a quote online somewhere that said "People in L.A. will pretend to like you when they really hate you, whereas people in N.Y.C will pretend to hate you when they really like you."You just can't beat that.No where else can you find such a diverse and eclectic mix of everything under the sun.Let everyone else say how great America is,everyone knows we rock, but people seem to forget that New York City is the greatest city in the world.I've been urging people to come and expierence how great it is,and I don't want to stop, that's how proud I am of living here.

So,I'm gonna try and wrap it up here the best I can.Don't forget, but don't let it run your life,Just take some time out of your life and realize that a great tragedy did happen. It's not a dream,it can't and shouldn't be shuned away.Ralph Waldo Emerson said; "The wise man in the storm prays god,not for safety from danger, but for deliverance from fear".We can't live in fear, but what I am urging you to do,all I am is urging you to do is to remember. If for no other reason then not to forget.

Still haven't seen "Nightmare Before Christmas" but I saw some weird commercial about it tonight,so if anyone has the DVD,let me know please. Oh and I know who's behind "Bruce Wayne:Murderer/Fugitive" ;-)

DC comics is announcing all of it's fancy new stuff at Wizard World Chicago this week...some stuff good, some stuff bad..some in bewtween..DC showed the first new Superman promo image created by artist Scott McDaniel, who along with new writer Steve Seagle take over as the new regular creative team of Superman with issue #190 in December...That should be interesting, though I like McDaniel's style better in the Bat books.DC apparently has asked Mark Waid about a "Hypertime HyperCrisis" event..I'm shuddering right now..Young Justice #50 has appearances by every teen hero DC could find..And if I find out there cancelling this series,I will freaking go ape..DC Again confirmed a Firestorm series is the works.Keen...One thing i'm really looking forward to(other then YJ50) is "Superman:Day Of Doom",a 4 issue weekly mini which commereates the 10 year anniversary of the Death Of Superman. It's being pencilled by Dan Jurgens with inks by Bill Sienkiewicz. It explores how people in Metropolis dealt with Doomsday. So if YJ stays,I'm gonna be a pretty happy FaNBoY for the next year...comic wise that is.

So,i'm watching Boston Public right now,and even though it's a rerun, it still reminds me that there is good TV on FOX. Boston Public is one of the first show's in the past few years that I've actually watched religiously.
I'm back...

Saturday, June 15, 2002

A little late,I know,but I've actually had a few good day's so I think it's warranted... :)

FaNBoY's comic reviews for the week of 6/12/02

Impulse #87 By DC Comics. $2.50.Writer:Todd Dezago= Penciller:Carlo Barberi= Inker:Greg Adams

Another standout Impulse issue, and as I've said in the past,it's a real shame that this book is getting cancelled. But all in all it's a good way to resolve the "World without Young Justice" storyline. It was also good to see Max again.Oh,and purple really does not work on Impulse. It'll also be interesting to see what was on that notepad Bart Showed to his lil' scout dude.

Green Lantern #151 By DC Comics. $2.25. Writer:Judd Winick=Pencils:Dale Eaglesham=Inks:Rodney Ramos

Wow,Now this book is really starting to pick up.Good art and good stories,They just gotta keep it together and it could be one of DC's top seller's.I don't fully understand what the deal is with the angry naked people or Jade flipping out,but hopefully there'll be a good explanation. Also,Kyle's an artist,he can do better then a giant teddy bear to stop a mugger..

Batgirl #29 By DC comics. $2.50.Writer:Kelly Puckett=Pencils:Damion Scott=Inker:Robert Campanella

Continues the "Bruce Wayne: Fugitive" stoyline. Also explains a lil' more on how the murderer got into the Batcave. They used some pretty hi-tech stuff. It could've been one of Penguin's henchmen,or as many have been saying,it really could have been Bruce.no one wants to think he did,but there are some pretty good theories in this issue that prove how he may have done it,but it seriously looks like he didn't.

Comic review time!! Week of June 5 2002.

Out There # 11 by Cliffhanger/DC comics $2.95. Writer:Brian Augustyn-Penciler:Humberto Ramos-Inker:Sandra Hope.

This book continues to happily surprise me. The Art alone is stunning, but the way Augustyn handles the fact that these are just kids while at the same time treating them as though they are 20 something ghost hunters is nothing short of amazing. The story was both good and creepy. Kinda like some weird dream. Then again, I don't sleep well so, a lot of things are odd.

Detective Comics # 771 by DC comics $2.50. Writer: Greg Rucka- Pencils: Steve Lieber- Inks: Mark McKenna&Robin Riggs.

OK, I gotta admit, I haven't been reading the stories all through, I've only been paying attention to the "Bruce Wayne: Fugitive" parts, and I know I should read the whole book, and I will, but these parts are more interesting..Doesn't appear to be that much happening here except that they are trying to get Alfred to testify.

Superboy # 100 By DC Comics $3.50. Writers: Karl Kesel, Jimmy Palmiotti and Dan DiDio -Pencils:Tom Grummett and John McCrea -Inks:Wade Von Grawbadger and James Hodgkins.

This is new for me.This is the first time that any of the books I read has been cancelled. And soon Impulse will fall under that axe. The first part of this book was a an interesting startup/goodbye story by Karl and Tom which is something many people had hoped for, and was done rather well. Then the book went into the usual weirdness that it has gone through with Palmiotti as writer. Most of it sucked until the end. And it wasn't really an end either. They definitely leave it open ended which means it'll be ripe for a re-launch in about two or three years, and either way,he's gonna be in Young Justice every month. Still sad to see it go...for a while anyway.

Young Justice # 46 By DC Comics $2.50. Writer-Peter "Da Man" David- Pencils:Todd "Awesomeness" Nauck- Inks:Larry "Rockin"Stucker

It's Young Justice. It's Todd, Peter and Larry. Of course it's gonna rule all.The only bad thing is...no FLIP! or Freakazoid references? C'mon Todd! Besides that, This book seems to surpass it self each month. This could be one of the most consistently done comics in the industry.

Superman # 183 By DC Comics $2.25. Writer:Jeph Loeb-Pencils: -Ed McGuinness -Inks: Cam Smith

First off,I knew that Luthor would have something up his sleeve to cover his ass. How he got it past J'onn,I don't know, but it kinda freaks me out .If he can get past the strongest telepathic character in the DCU, that can't be good. Unless J'onn isn't saying something. The ending is a tad confusing. Overall though, this was another gem,and the cover just screamed 50's cheesiness which we all need every now and then.

Well, that about wraps it up for this weeks reviews. I didn't get Deadline 3,cause i'm back on my Marvel boycott again. They are just milking Sept.11 entirely to much. I saw people scream at Mark and Vinny today cause they weren't allowed to sell them more then one copy. Marvel is causing an awful lot of trouble with these books, and it's getting outta hand. .

In the past oh...15 minutes, the Yankees have gone yard against the orioles, and gone yard against the orioles, and gone yard against the orioles, and they ahve gone yard agaisnt the orioles.Giambi,Ventura,White and Soriano.

Monday, June 03, 2002

Another kinda boring day.Had a good talk with a friend today, they were even on a cell phone for a time which was different, yet fun.Not really much else to update.I worked on the script a bit. That's all..

Nothing big to update here.Just saw a few more shot's of Jim Lee's work on Batman, and a shot of a Green Lantern poster. Not bad I must say.His Killer Croc needs a lil' work though. He looks to...crocy..

So Rivers from Weezer looks scruffy now? Is this a surprise to anyone?
From The Friday five :1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having? That I was eating a chicken soft taco from taco bell.

2. Do you have any recurring dreams? Sometimes

3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had? That I went to see the movie Spice World

4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not? No,don't care too.

5. Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it? No??

For those of you who don't know,Birds of Prey,A well done DC comic was recently picked up as a series on the WB network for its fall 2003 schedule. It looks OK, except for the fact that Black Canary is a bit young. But Mark Hamill is gonna voice the Joker in the Oracle origin episode and Huntress has a shrink. A shrink that goes by the name of Dr. Harleen Qunizell. Hmm..

Friday, May 17, 2002

I don't know how to put this lightly,so i'll just say it.Episode 2 fucking rocked!!!!!!

It rocked on a few points which I will illustrate here :

-Story. It felt as though there actually was one, which I thought was damn good.
-Effects. Done superbly and right.
-Natalie Portman in a belly shirt. Nuff said.
-Don't screw with Yoda.

11 Hours and 45 minutes to go!
Letterman had 9 guys dressed as spider man,1 fat guy dressed as spider man, a guy dressed as Superman, A guy dressed as a cowboy ,A guy dressed as Dracula, a guy dressed as a football player, 2 clowns, 5 monkeys and a guy dressed as a dog stand around in a Subway sandwich shop.

Besides the fact it is nearly impossible to own a 1959 Cadillac ambulance, especially a Miller - Meteor, today I found out another reason it's tough to have an Ecto-1 replica...it gets 5 mpg. That's basically My house to Hanley's and back. That doesn't dismay me though, I still want one.

Thursday, May 09, 2002

Alert! FaNBoY is extremely giddy for reason's I will not go into right now! Heheheheheee!!!!

OK...calm down for a sec...heh...review time!

Impulse 86= Not bad,not bad at all .Don't cancel this title DC!

Green Lantern 150= Excellent read. I really like the new direction that that they're heading in. Kyle's new outfit is pretty kickin' too, very "Hal - esque".

Batgirl 28= Interesting...Spoiler said she's leaving for a while, which is good, because I think she belongs in Robin, not Batgirl.

Nightwing 69= Continues the "Bruce Wayne:Fugitive" storyline, and offers up another clue. Whoever crawled into the cave was someone who did it through a very small opening, so small,Dick almost couldn't fit through...could it be someone who has "?"'s on his outfits?

Spy Boy-Young Justice 3= Eh...haven't read it through yet, so..i'm not sure. I don't like what they did with Todd's art on one page and Pop's on the next. Pick an artist and stick with it.

A few more tidbits. I'm very giddy right now. Superman sucked this week,so I didn't get it. Looks like I got my Episode 2 tickets. Oh,and Third Watch got picked up. Yay.

Tuesday, May 07, 2002

Spidey movie must be pretty good if it makes 114$ mill on it's first weekend. Maybe I should see it. Or maybe I should call the movie theater and get advance tickets for Episode 2. Third Watch was good again, very moving. Kinda sucks that the season's almost over. Can't wait till the new seasons starts though.

Sunday, May 05, 2002

I am one happy geek. I got to work at Hanley's yesterday! Sure it was one day, but it could lead to more, who knows. All I know is I am one happy geek. Free comic day rocked. I can safely say that this was the busiest I've ever seen Hanley's. There must have been at least 25 people waiting before it even opened.

Friday, May 03, 2002

You came here looking for porn and came upon this.Disapointed? Well, life's full of disapointments. You really think Bush is happy that he's running the country? No! He wants to go home and play Nintendo!

Thursday, May 02, 2002

I don't care what anyone says,Ewoks kick ass.Jar Jar just sucks ass.
Comic review type thingie time!

1]Superman 182- Excellent. Lois was supposed to kill one story as part of an agreement with her an Luthor to give the Daily Planet back to the public. Turns out he wanted her to kill the story that proves Luthor could have prevented the "Our Worlds At War" casualties, including her fathers. Also turns out one of Lois's sources is Luthors bodyguard Hope. So Luthor tells Lois to kill the story, which she sort of does. She gives it to Clark,a nd Clark prints it, and it looks like Luthor is gonna be out of the white house preeeety soon.

2]Young Justice 45- Not a bad way to end a crossover, making Impulse super powerful could be good and give one last chance at saving his book .The alternate reality thing was so-so story wise ,more good then bad ,but still left something lacking. Todd's art though, was once again top notch.

3]Detective 770- Didn't really get a chance to finish this, but from what I read so far it's an OK read ,I want see more info on the"Bruce Wayne:fugitive"story, which is supposed to wrap up later this year.

4]Deadline 2- You know, for a Marvel book...not that bad. Interior art is hit and miss, but cover art rules. Story is getting a little better.

Also- Looks like i'm gonna be seeing the Spidey movie this weekend .It's getting hyped big time, which can be good and bad. If it turns out to be a dud, it's bad for the industry, but it's getting good advance press so far.Not to mention about 20 something specials on TV. Which is where I end with tonights quote:

"Did Tobey eat a lot of flies in front of you?"-David Letterman's question to Spider-man actress Kirsten Dunst on what it was like working with Tobey Maguire

Oh,almost forgot,Third Watch:Very good.The ending was a little weak,but overall another great ep.
So the Spider man movie comes out this week, friday to be exact.Even though I can't stand Marvel,i'll probably be dragged to see this film which looks good and bad.It looks like they relied to heavily on cgi. However,I do beleive if it does good the first weekend,it will be very good for the comic industy as a whole. It will get people into the comic shops more.Free comic day is the day after the movie and there wil lbe 4 free comics, and i'll be helping the guys in Hanley's,cause everyone knows that some people will come up with every comic in the store wanting it for free. But,like I said,if it gets people in the shops and makes them buy,it's good. The soundtrack for the movie is pretty solid as well,i've downlaoded a few of the songs already.Anyway, nighty night goes the FaNBoY.

Been a while, Yes I know, but it's not like anyone reads this anyway. But in the case some people do ,I shall go on. Spring cleaning is not fun, but it had to be done ,and i'm still not entirely finished.

There was no Alias on last night so that blew monkey chunks. Justice League was good, especially the end.

Comic-wise, JLA#65 was awesome, very well done, Even Mankhe's art was good. Superboy#99 was inresting. Not bad,but interesting ,gonna be a shame to see it go after the next issue. Action Comics#790 was kinda bad/kinda good. The Super titles have been real hit and miss lately. They need to keep McGuinness and Churchill.

I was watching the Justice League cartoon(which rocks)today. They had "The Justice Guild of America" on. Apparently the reason it wasn't the actual Justice Society of America is there was a small dispute between Cartoon Network and DC Comics. CN wanted the Classic golden age JSA, while apparently DC said it didn't want to go back to the cheesiness of the golden age .So we were stuck with things like, "Cat Man" in place of wildcat, and, "The Green Guardsman" instead of the golden age GL. Still it was a pretty good episode. But by far the highlight for me was after it was over. There was a Cartoon Network ad that made me laugh my ass off. It had the old super friends animation. Aquaman and Wonder Woman are tied up over a vat of lava. Aquaman says, "My ability to talk to fish is no use here!",While Wonder Woman gives a "What a fucking moron this guy is" eye roll. Suddenly the Powerpuff girls bust through the roof, making Lex Luthor exclaims, "It's the PowderPuff girls!" to which the scream at him "PoWerpuff!" After a quick battle with the legion of doom, they rescue Aquaman and WW. Aquaman thanks them, and they say "No prob, were really big fans of the old school".Wonder Woman then says "you three are developing into some heroes.",then they deliver this line,"Thanks! we hope we can be as devolped as you one day!" Everyone starts laughing and WW covers her boobs. Freaking classic.

Well..today was..intresting..sorta.I learned something.Always look at the label on the stuff you by.Case in point;I thought I was buying NesQuik chocolate milk.Turned out to be "Vanilla milk".Ewww.I still have the disgusting taste in my mouth. Not plesant.Just as bad as that was Adventures of Superman 603.I don't think I've ever read 4 pages of a DC book and threw it down and almost stepped on it.The story of a "superbaby"...wow...lame.The art was some of the worst i've ever seen.Luthor looked like the ate the kingpin.Everything else was pretty damn good though.Excpet for Batgirl picking on Spoiler, thats just wonr.Rest of the book was goood though. The "Bruce Wayne:murderer/fugitive" storyline is shaping up to be really damn good.Aparently,Vesper, who was found kakked in Wayne manor was knocked out before she was brought intot he manor. And Nightwing found some bug type things in the batcave, which means a few things..1]Someone knows Bruce's secret. 2]Someone knows what there doing if they broke into the cave 3 times. And 3]If someone broke into the cave, that means Bruce didn't do it...I hope.Impulse-Excellent as usual. It'sreally gonna be a shame if it gets cancelld.Green Arrow and Green Lantern were both good. And that's pretty much it.Oh,"that 80's show" ruled as per usual.

thats all! the end!
Hugh Jackam just showed his chest.Gaah..Now I know why they picked him for Wolverine.
Tom Cruise is a freakin midget.
Ashton Kutcher is a tard and Christina Ricci looks like a barbie doll with GI joe head on
And there not even blurting out "Hash" on Hash Pipe! Score! I bet Britney Spears is backstage doin the hash.Speakin of Britney Speared,I was flipping channels the other day and saw one of her videos.Didn't watch the whole thing, but for a girl who says shes a virgin, she she does like getting humped by like 7 guys at once.If shes a virgin, then i'm gonna get laid sometime soon.Neither is true.
WEEEZEEERRR!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong,I like Will Ferrel, but is there anywhere he is not at? Now's playing an awards show speech coach. At least he threw in an Alf refrence. And now....he's peeing his pants.Bet Carson Daly likes that.
Ben Stiller wins best comedic performance over Tom Green?!!? On MTV?!?!
Julia Stiles is wearing a Mets shirt. She is going down.
This girl just won an award and she didnt even know what for.My first impression was:Insert blonde joke. Then I realized...wait...She's chinese!
Jackie Chan and Chris tucker prsent the award for best fight while flying throught the stage on a trapezee like thing.Just when you thought MTV couldn't get any more lame, they do this.
So now toliet paper companies are spelling silk "silq"? Who the hell approved this?
Cameron Diaz wins the "Best dance" award and brings a sweetloaf up to the podium with her.Not her rump,an actual sweetloaf.
Adam Sandler is the man.
Whay are the only somewhat entertaing commercials Volkswagen ad's?
Dave Matthews looks like a young Bob Sagget.I forsee this as being bad for Dave's career.
Dave Matthew's band. Finally some good music, and shut up all of you who don't like him,he's got some damn good music. He twitches to much though.
Piper Perabo...waaaaa
For a white guy,Jimmy Fallon does a good Chris Rock impression.
There's a Target commercial on now.Theres a guy on a jungle gym with Target shorts. Is it really a good idea to have a guy on a jungle gym with shorts that have little bullseyes all over em'?
Only MTV would let Jim Carrey accept his award telepathicly.
Ghostbusters refrence on MTV! WoooHooo!!!!!
Spider Man movie commercial.Still looks like crap.I'm probably gonna see it anyway though.I'm gonna wear one of my Green Lantern shirts. Most likely the Hal one. Why? I went to the X-men movie wearing a Superman shirt and a Batman hat.For pure spite.
besides the fact i hate 99.9% of pop music, rap and r&b,I have to say that that "lady marmalde" song is by far the most annoyign thing i've heard in quite a while. And quoting SNL'S Tina Fey: "Christina Augliera? Dee Snider called. He want's his hair back."
In case you didn't know,i'm watching the 2001 MTV movie awards. Why? How the hell should I know? I'm goddamned bored.
Woowwwww....It's 8pm already?! Damn daylight savings time.Damn MTV's 7 hour long commercial breaks.
I just saw a preview for the movie "Changing Lanes" with Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Affleck.Looks good. But I was just reminded of something.Ben Affleck is gonna be in the Daredevil movie.Eh...ok.Jennifer Garner is gonna play Elktra.Eh..Better.But Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin is just wrong in so many way's.At least Sam Jackson as Mace Windu in Star Wars is a good choice.I hope he get's to say "Use the force, bitch!"
I know I said MTV sucks, but besides the Osbournes, there are 2 reasons I know like MTV.8 Line dancing monkeys and Shannon Elizabeth's "top" at the MTV movie awards.

A&W is by far the best food on Staten Island.Just though i'd clarify that.Oh,and I broke with my usual way yesterday and picked up a Marvel book.Deadline.It's about some reporter girl who doesn't like superheroes or as she calls them,"capes".On my 1-10 scale,10 being really freakin good,I'd give this a 4 or 5.The art was hit and miss. The Cover artist,Greg Horn however was really good.If he did the rest of the art in the comic,i'd give the book at least a 7.

Wednesday, April 03, 2002

I woke up today, got dressed and went to Hanley's like I do every wednesday to get my comics.I checked the weather first,75 degrees and Sunny."Awesome",I say.So I decide to wear my Ghostbusters ringer.I got to the train station 4 blocks away, and just as i'm about to get on the train,I look up.Cloudy."Must just be passing over",I think to myself. So,i'm hanging out in Hanley's and I llok outside again. It's getting dark.I look at my watch and it says 5:00pm.Then it gets sick windy. Then it starts to rain. Then it stops and it's sunny, the it gets dark again, then sunny, then dark with a torrential downpour.Damn el nino. And I couldn't even get my comics casue the holiday delayed the shipment. It's good anyway, caus I don't want the comics to get wet.Anyway,I came home soaked. But it's all good in a few minutes cause "That 80's show" is on!!!! Kick ass!!

Sunday, March 31, 2002

So,i'm watching Saturday Night Live, and Derek Jeter is the host. They had him sing, and then they had him dress in drag. And to top that off, they had David Wells and David Cone, also dressed in drag. There is nothing scarier then a fat man in drag. But hell, that jsut proves what good sports us New Yorkers are. What other sports team would do this? None, that's cause no one can surpase the sheer awesomeness that is the New York Yankees.

Saturday, March 30, 2002

It's friday night.Actually no...it's Saturday morning....and my arm still hurts. It's been hurting since thursday afternoon.I don't know why.I can barely type. But I still am.Why? I'm a glutton for punishment I suppose.I'm freakin bored too.Booooored.Can't think of much else to say,so,i'll put up a "Quote of the day".Here goes...... "The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter."-Mark Twain

"I have made good judgements in the past.I hve made good judgements in the future." -George W. Bush I think Moby put it best when he said "Four years of an evil idiot."
It's 1:30 am,and I just thought of something....If Sony sells the Ghostbusters rights to me,I can make the third movie. It's so simple. So if anyone from Sony is reading this,Sell me the Ghostbusters franchise rights dammit!!! Even the damn Academy awards recognized Ghostbusters!

Sunday, March 24, 2002

92.3fm K-Rock NYC.Besides the fact it's form NYC,theres another reason why K-Rock well....rocks.The DJ's.Here's one of the thing's i'll always remember. Cane:"Guess why Creed is cancelling a few shows from their new tour?"
Cabby:"Is it becasue Scott Stapp is a dick?"
Cane:"No,it's because they are filming a new video"
Cabby:"Are you sure it's not becasue Scott Stapp is a huge dick!?!?"

This proves that Mtv didnt kill the radio star, they just mad the radio star more daring and I think it came out better.Besides,96% of what's on MTV sucks anyway.

Saturday, March 23, 2002

Ahh...I love NASCAR.Everyone who hates it and is reading this should shut up now.At the NASCAR busch series race today(this is like the minor leagues for racing)They were racing at Bristol, which is like smallest track, and there were a lot of wrecks, and luckily no oen got hurt. But boy were therew a lot of fights after. It was great racing and fights.hehee

Friday, March 22, 2002

What I learned today:Driving in Manhattan is a bad idea. The WTC tribute lights are really amazing and should stay up..It pays to have a working printer. It's snowing. The Real World is a screwed up show. That's all for now.G'night!

Friday, March 15, 2002

DC comics is going downhill.First they announce they wanna cancel Impulse. Then they wanna cancel Superboy. What is worng with them? At least Robin #100 comes out this weeka nd is in no danger....I hope.
Funny story time.Me and my buddy Rob went down to the beach to play basketball today(a sport which I hat and suck at,but it was midly nice outside today,so what the hell). So we're playing and Rob throws the ball up,and it get's stuck in a tree. For 15 minutes we're tryin to get this thing down.We crawled on top of the hoop,on the fence, shook the tree, threw a stick, nothing worked. So,i went to look for something else.I found a decent sized peice of concrete, brought it back and discovered that he got the ball down.Alright,so I put the concrete donw and walked over and continued to play.About 5 mins. later,a guy wearing a denim jacket and nypd bage walks up.Undercover cop, obviously. He says, excuse me,what did you do with the weed? I look at him, shocked, and say,"weed?!" he says"yeah,I saw you put it down".After explaining to him for 5 minutes that it was a rock,he wants to make sure,so he asks me to empty my pockets. After empying them,he finally says,"ok,i'm sorry,my bad".He was a nice guy and all,but still;why would I have weed? Me,the guy who got made fun of and got people annoyed at me because I didnt touch anything at a frat party.Please.I wouldnt go within a mile of any of that crap.

Monday, March 04, 2002

Well,I just watched "Third Watch" again, and I seriously think i'm addicted to the show.Good writing, good action, and it's filmed right nearby.I love my TV.Oh,and I have a food recommendation for all..what.....2 of you who actually read this.Applebees popcorn shrimp. It's good stuff.Damn good stuff.Oh..and read Impulse!! good comic!!

Monday, February 25, 2002

Just saw Third Watch.Wow.Holy Crap! It makes me realize that the Police really do care for us and will do any thing to protect us no matter the cost.I thank them for that.
I just had some damn good dinner.By far one of the best burgers I've ever had.I just had to mention that.I also read "The dark knight returns" for like the 12697th time today,as I have with just about all of my comics.I noticed something while reading it however. Most of the art is just plain bad.But the thing that really draws me to it(no pun intended) is the storytelling. It's kinda like the story of a guy getting his life back, but this one is that, but not in the way you think.
"Tell the captian air marshall Carlin says go fuck yourself." -George Carlin

"Final is not a good word to use on an airplane." -George Carlin

"I always breathe normally when i'm in a 600mph vertical dive."-George Carlin

Heh.George Carlin is a funny funny man.

Recently I haven't had much luck with sports.New York Giants, got to the superbowl.Lost.
New York Yankees, got to the world series.Lost.
Picabo Street in her last olympics, going for the gold.Lost.
But finally my streak looks like it's at an end.Kyle Petty has made it into the Daytona 500,this sunday, and for that i'm happy. :) Now I gotta go,cause I think I smell something burning...

Tuesday, February 12, 2002

Ok.Wow..So i'm watchin the news and seeing a hostage situation at my friends college, and I am worried sick about her, cause, well, you know, she's a friend. Then I thought of all the people who I was not talking to lately due to my own reasons. And I realized how stupid my reasons were. Then I remember a saying I used to live by;"Friends are like pennies, while they may seem small and insignificat at first, once put together with another friend they really can mean a lot."I then realized another thing,I really need to cherish my friends and so do you(whoever is reading this,if anyone),casue if you don't they can be gone in an instant.Thats probably gonna be a valuable lesson in life and i'm happy I learned it before it's to late.So...wow.

"People are basicly good, and if you care about them, they will be your friend" - Dan Aykroyd
BLOG!! hehee I'm just realizing how funny a word that is.Blog.heh.Well,it's....tuesday afternoon..and i'm bored as per usual.I'm watchin NBC and waitin for the Olympics to come on,but that's not for like another 3 and a half hours.Blargh.I hate waiting. It bugs me.I'm probably the most impatient guy....on my block. And a good block it is,much better then my old one. There are way more nice not as insane people here.Insanity ain't that bad though,in certin doses anyway.

Monday, February 11, 2002

Well....This is my first entry and or post in FaNBoY's FaNBlog and I hope it goes well.I first heard about Blog's and such on "The Screensavers" on Tech Tv.Well, this first post is mainly a test,so i'm gonna close out now and see how it looks.
